Suspended Slabs are getting more and more common. We have done a lot of testing on Suspended Slabs, We are developing new ways to seal suspended slabs. and we have options that help to minimize their exposure to leaks.
What is a Suspended Slab?
A suspended slab is a concrete slab that allows for traffic over an area of living / storage space. (Typically under the garage) A suspended slab is built in two main ways. The first method is to have a deck of coregated steel setup in place, the concrete is then poured over the decking. The second main method is to have the slabs poured by a precast company and then layed in place. Both methods present difficult challanges to waterproof the living space below the slab.
